The Balibo Five – A Lasting Legacy
Channel 7 was a foundational supporter of Balibo House Trust and their ongoing support keeps the memory of the Balibo Five strong.
It’s a legacy that has achieved so much, and soon we will announce special events in Balibo and Melbourne to mark the 50th anniversary and continue to work for a brighter future for the Balibo community.
The Balibo Veterans’ Museum was launched on Saturday 30 April. The Museum honours the memory of the Balibo Five, and particularly the Timorese and international veterans who served in World War Two, with the Resistance, INTERFET and International Stabilisation Force up to Independence in 1999.
